The client
The International Tennis Federation (ITF) is the governing body of world tennis, wheelchair tennis and beach tennis, working on behalf of 214 member nations. Organiser of flagship competitions including the Davis Cup, ITF provides opportunities for tennis players everywhere and invests in the development of the game globally.
Over the years Ingenious has designed many of ITF's publications including their Global Tennis Report, Annual Review and Accounts, Events Manual and other special reports. We previously also designed ITFWorld, their official magazine, the final edition of which was published in 2023 after 25 years and 80 issues.
The brief
The third edition of ITF's Global Tennis Report provides an in-depth survey of worldwide tennis, facilitating analysis of global and regional trends and supporting investment and growth of the game for future generations. Ingenious designed the inaugural report back in 2019, which at the time was the first and largest survey of worldwide tennis participation and performance the ITF had ever undertaken.
ITF asked for the layout of the new edition to be redesigned and visuals simplified and pared back, in order to present large quantities of complex information in a clear and accessible way, whilst still providing a detailed and comprehensive picture of changes within the global tennis scene.
Thanks for your work on the Global Tennis Report. As usual what stands out is the team's patience and attention to detail. The end result was a very nice-looking publication, which is easy to navigate given the density of the info/stats inside.

The results
ITF launched the third edition of the Global Tennis Report at the end of 2024. Its 502 pages incorporate all the latest data collected from 199 nations displayed within a clear and attractive layout. It is available in two digital formats. The full report has limited access and is intended for use by key stakeholders only, but there is also a fully accessible summary available online which includes key stats and infographics to support press coverage
We are extremely proud of the results and can't resist saying we think both versions look absolutely ace!
