The client

The ICE Benevolent Fund is a charity that helps members of the Institute of Civil Engineers during challenging times providing a wide range of support for civil engineers and their families.

The brief

The ICE Ben Fund asked us to create a visually engaging Impact Report to showcase their work and achievements.

They wanted to break away from the traditional text-heavy approach to impact reporting and asked for our ideas on format and presentation which would not only be eye-catching, clear and concise, but convey a feeling of warmth and approachability and leave a lasting impression on the audience.

We've been really pleased with the work that Ingenious have done for us this year - we feel Ingenious really understand our brand requirements and always produce something innovative and eye catching for us.

Ingenious are good at working to the briefs provided and know exactly how and when to add a playful element to their work, and likewise, are able to provide more subtle, nuanced pieces when required. As a charity that deals with sensitive issues, yet want to stand out from the crowd, this is an important balance to strike and Ingenious do it well. We would definitely recommend Ingenious to others and continue using them ourselves.

The results

We suggested a short video might best serve their purpose and ended up producing a 30-second animation, as well as a series of animated gifs and images for social media. Using existing branding and colour palette, we creatively incorporated a series of stats and quotes provided by the organisation into our design to underscore and maximise the impact of their work. The result ticks all the boxes - it's informative, fun and memorable and highlights the wide range of valuable support provided by the ICE Benevolent Fund.
