The client

Surrey County Council is responsible for a number of local public services including education, health and welfare, social services, transport and highway management and waste and recycling.

The brief

Surrey County Council regularly commission Ingenious to create animations raising awareness about various campaigns and the services they offer. We have produced the following animations for them: Local Streets improvements including the School Streets Initiative; Care and Support; Planning for your Future; Data Strategy; Minerals and Waste; Community Testing - COVID; Mole Valley Bus Service.

They ask us to ‘work our magic’ in bringing to life and highlighting key elements of these services in a clear and accessible way.

Really happy with what Ingenious have produced for us! The animation is great, and they were really helpful and responsive to changes. Will definitely do more with them in the future.

The results

We initially create a storyboard with illustrations, an essential element before the process of animation can begin. Once this is approved, we take the illustrations from the storyboard and bring them to life by animating them, adding voiceovers, accompanying music and sound effects to create attractive and informative videos which convey accessible, inclusive, clear and upbeat information to a wide audience about the council’s many valuable services.

Our animations appear on the Surrey County Council website, are used in social media campaigns and internally as part of council-run workshops and courses.
